2014 Red Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a finely-layered Cab from near Mt Konocti in Lake County. The soil is dark red with tons of obsidian, giving this Cab the fine structure it has. This has a great “Cab nose” of cassis/black currant and a little green pepper. On the palate it starts with nice violet on the nose and black currant mid-palette, with some nice darker fruit, oak and soft tannins giving way to a smooth finish.
